Our thanks to YouTube user realmsundastood who uploaded this footage of Disney Dream‘s Captain Guus Verhulst stopping to pick up a couple of stranded boaters on the way to Port Canaveral, Florida.
To forewarn you, there is repetitive and possibly profane music playing in the background for much of the video.
The video shows the final moments of the rescue as the two boaters are transferred onboard. After the rescuers are back onboard, about five minutes into the video, Captain Guus comes over the PA system to say, “You’ll see that we’ve completed successfully the taking over of the two persons in distress. (Cheers.) What you have seen is a … maritime tradition, that we help each other at sea.”

Why did you feel the need to “forewarn” about rap music? Would you have said the same if it was pop music or some other genre?
Such an asinine comment!

Hi Klizzie, fair enough. We were worried there may be some profanity in the music that some would find offensive. I guess we managed to offend you instead! We’ve changed it to read, “there is repetitive and possibly profane music playing in the background for much of the video.” Less asinine?

So what happens to the boat that they left behind? Will it be retrieved later? And how? Just curious.

I wish the captain would assist me in attempting to get that stupid song out of my head!
That’s what up!
