We asked, and you answered. In our poll we wanted to know, “Which of this year’s new ships are you most looking forward to cruising on?”

Overwhelmingly, and frankly somewhat surprisingly, you said you’d most like to cruise on Italian line MSC’s Preziosa.

Now, granted, we didn’t have enough options to list every new ship that would be launching this year, just the most well-known lines that will be launching ships in Europe in 2013. For a complete list, take a look at our chart.

The second- and third-place entries both came from U.S. lines, and are both tapped to be very popular launches, indeed. Royal Princess nabbed 31 percent of the vote, while Norwegian’s big debut, Breakaway, had a healthy 17 percent.

Perhaps not surprisingly — given the majority of cruisers are ocean cruisers rather than river — Viking was pulling up the rear with about five percent of the vote, but that’s still a nice turnout for the line, which will be launching a number of new ships this year.
