Unobstructed view as lifeboats are well below, can see down to the promenade deck - plenty of storage room in wardrobe and under bed (for suitcases). There is an extendable clothes line in the shower recess for drying ones 'smalls'.

At the opposite end of the ship to the Britannia Club dining room and the elevator near the dining room goes to level 12 but then one has to cross open deck, which on the Atlantic can be less than pleasant - a passenger with poor mobility may find it annoying but we worked out a standard inside route from stateroom to dining room and it was fine.

Generally quiet except for an odd noise in the air conditioning which was resolved by maintenance the same day we notified the purser of the problem.

We did not spend huge amounts of time on the balcony on our TA crossing but did use it daily and would definitely book this deck/stateroom category again.

Fantastic by Cheltenham1

We were fortunate to have a lovely state room with a balcony. King sized bed with the softest sheets and the squishiest pillows ever. Two double wardrobes and plenty of drawers and shelves. Sofa-bed, coffee table, desk and chair. Lovely sparkling clean bathroom. Fairly mid ship position and never elevator.

Great cabin...they do need to upgrade TVs to flat screens but am sure that's coming. Bathroom was adequate, but needed a light in the shower (do they hope you can "feel" your way?) The balcony was a nice upgrade they gave us, but regardless inside or out we love all the spaces on QM2.  Read entire member review.

Very disappointed food very poor and way below what we expected and have had on other cruises.

Cabin fine and clean. was missing 12 hangers that are designed specifically for the ship. They replaced these with wire hangers of the cheapest type so needs attention.

Very small, tiny seating area and mini-bathroom. But well-designed with adequate storage space and a comfortable bed.

Very nice inside cabin with plenty of room. The twin beds pushed together to make a king was a little hard but not bad. I asked for 3 more pillows and were promptly served so very nice.

Our cabin was the next to the last on the starboard side aft; had a sheltered balcony with a large window; Adequate room for 3 adults to store belongings; Suitcases fit easily under beds. No noise or disturbances at all in this part of the ship; very quiet; a very long ways to the laundry room on deck 4 which is on the same side but at the bow. Beds soft but comfy; bathroom very small, amenities very nice and ample. Nice flat screen TV with many channels though many are in German at least on our trip. As has been said, hard to get to balcony or fridge when sofa bed is out. That' sabout all folks, for a standard cabin on the QM2.

Bad choices by Jimsgirl

Nothing to say , cabin was clean, but steward did not do anything special. Never filled ice bucket, slow to replace toiletries. Took away "do not disturb" sign on last night, knocked on door at 6.30 A.M saying he needed to get in to clean!.

Fantastic Voyage by Racer_Jim

Ours was the perfect room for us. Mid-ship so that we barely felt the rocking of the boat. Far enough down the corridor to eliminate a lot of walk-past traffic but close enough to elevators.

Room was very clean and spacious enough - lots of closet space and hangers. Only electrical outlet is on desk in main cabin as is the hair dryer, which imagine would be a bit cumbersome if multiple folks sharing a cabin.

A good size cabin for 3 of us to share. There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space with lots oh hangers. The cabin had a small minibar and a flat screen TV. The bathroom was also a good size with a large shower, luxury linens and complimentary toileteries to use.

Just So-So by sgill1125

Did not mind having an interior state room from the perspective of darkness. It was a nice size for the two of us and it made sleeping wonderful and quiet. However as I mentioned in my general review, Deck 5 has a problem with wet corridor carpets (and our room carpet was wet in the area by the door) and an almost oppressive odor of sewage which is VERY noticeable at times. Other times it is just vague. When we spoke to staff in and around that corridor they pretended they didn't smell it. Ridiculous. There is no way you wouldn't smell it. The ship was full so they told us they could not change our room. I intend to contact them to let them know we were displeased but I don't know if it will have any affect.

We had a wheelchair room - very last room, starboard side, aft. Ironic that the handicapped accessible rooms are as far from the elevators as you can get. Room had a large window, no balcony due to being handicapped accessible (maybe longer room because bathroom was large). Not much storage space as other ships, only 2 drawers for clothes, but again probably due to accessible room. Comfortable beds. We did smell vague cigar and/or cigarette smoke in the hallways and our room - ventilation must have pulled it in, and it was stinky. Pushing in a wheelchair was tricky - only a foot or 2 leeway on either side when the wheelchair was in the room. Not a lot of room for maneuvering. Shower was walk-in with hand-held attachment, pull-down seat and pull-down grab bar. Small strip of plastic on floor to separate the shower from the rest of the bathroom, but water gets all over the whole bathroom, so use caution when getting out of shower.

Disappointed by TrueTales

The cabin was roomy, with the twin beds split and under the porthole. This cabin was at the front of the ship and you certainly felt the ships movement more than one closer to the middle would have. However, it was not a noisy cabin and was close to the stairways up to the gym, library, laundry, and promenade deck.

Cabin was nice, but under the fitness center. Every time someone dropped weights on the floor above your head it sounded like a bomb going off, so be prepared. Also, felt a lot of motion in rough seas this far forward. If you have any kind of motion sickness issues this cabin is not for you. Move farther back in the ship.

Crossing the Atlantic by Elizabeth J Lloyd
We find the cabins adequate for us, according to what deck we are on. We have tried varies decks, even Britannia Club and Princess Grill. Obviously the latter two are very good. Our only complaint on this aspect, we find a lot of first time cruisers are upgraded to Queens, Princess and Britannia Club, whereas, we as regular cruisers, have never been offered this courtesy. We do wonder why.  Read entire member review.

Can't really fault the cabins - good size - plenty of room under the bed to store empty cases - bthroom could have been bigger I suppose but in comparison to other liners ist compared very well. We normally have an outside cabin for the transatlantic cruises because there is not much to see. We got this obstructed view cabin at the same price as an outside. The cabin was roomy with plenty of storage. Our only complaints ares the water flow has been reduced in the shower and is a little weak and and interactive tv would be nice.

Transatlantic Eastbound by Henrik Springlewongle
QM2 8023 Starboard side behind second lifeboat from bow. Restricted view but fine for a transatlantic crossing. Well laid out. No disturbance from connecting door to next cabin. Near to library, spa and Commodore's Club. Deck 8 is handy for access to promenade deck 7 and Kings Court eating. Starboard side gets the sun on eastbound transatlantic and vice versa - this makes a big difference.  Read entire member review.

The cabin 8058 balcony was partially obstructed by the life boats, lacks privacy as maintenance works done on the boats on and off. The cabin itself was very spacious.

Great location, 5 cabins away from the foyer with elevators. One deck above King's Court ( you can pop down the stars for a cup of tea and back in 2 minutes) Same deck as the library. As state earlier, the obstructed view wasn't relly "obstructed" at all.  Read entire member review.

Still a favorite...but..... by Mary from Hawaii

The staterooms are the same as always, could use a new look! As I mentioned above, we like a certain area of the ship but you have to do your homework. Some less expensive rooms have the sheltered balcony and you will not get the panoramic view as with the glass balcony. Also our deck had the life boats. They did not obstruct our view as we chose a room with a clear view but there were many times I over heard people asking why they had a boat off their verandah. You have to check each stateroom to see what is has or does not have! This can be a tricky ship!
Good sized rooms with a nice couch, same closet space..could be bigger...nice bathrooms but small. It is all you really need however.

Stateroom was bright and airy with plenty of space for 4 suitcases and 2 weeks worth of clothes. Shower / toilet room adequate although the shower cubicle is a little small and dark once the curtain is pulled. Very clean and well maintained.

Good seize suite, however no 5* standard nor 5* service anywhere to be seen.
One of the main points of failure of Cunard is that for Queens Grill passengers there is little else than only the Queens Grill restaurant which is for Queens grill passengers only. For the rest you have to share everything with the other 1900 passengers.
It's really not worth the money I am afraid to have to observe. If you want a top notch cruise you are better off with the likes such as Silver Sea and Seabourn (despite the fact that Seabourn belongs to the same Group as Cunard).

Stateroom 9074, very spacious, large balcony very well appointed. We were introduced to our butler and room steward and asked how we would like the bar stocked. One thing that I would have expected was an explanation of what they are able to do for you. Cunard makes a big fuss on their site about the pillow concierge service however it was only when I asked that they were able to provide feather pillows. In fairness I realise turnaround days are quite hectic for the staff however a simple introduction of all services would have been appreciated. Our stateroom had a lovely unobstructed balcony view (some Queens grill room midship have the lifeboats directly beneath the balcony and that can partially block your view downward. Overall the service in the stateroom was superb and we had several breakfasts served in the room and the butler was always on-time. Room was very clean and was refreshed throughout the day. Mini-bar was always replenished as was the fresh fruit and bottled water. We never had to ask for anything.

Wonderful journey by chopper man
We were on the 10th level....... room 10055. We had reservations being next to the elevator area but the rooms were insulated and quiet. Rommel, our steward was very good. The room had plenty of room for all our clothes........ especially those that needed to be hung. The bathroom was a surprise with the tub which came in handy on some nights when my wife wanted to relax. The only caveat was the bed. Needed a softer bed and had to ask for an additional foam support. The deck was used frequently.  Read entire member review.

We were well satisfied with our Princess Grill suite. having travelled at this level on many occasions. Plenty of space and services though an interactive TV would be an advantage but certainly not a show stopper. It will be interesting to see what next month's refurbishment brings as all staterooms are being upgraded.  Read entire member review.

Large with plenty of closet and cabinet storage space. Generous balcony with two teak loungers and a table. My port side stateroom was the next to last at the aft end, bed facing aft. I did not feel any unusual vibrations even though I was directly over the ship’s props.

The stateroom was an upgrade issued about a week prior to the cruise. This glass-fronted balcony was the same as on QE and QV previously, and is a better option than the enclosed balcony on decks 4 to 6 on QM2. There is often debate about this. To my mind the sheltered balcony would probably be better on a Trans-Atlantic trip. We will find out! Booked next July.

Beyond Incredible!!!! by chrischarlestaylor
The stateroom was great, and inside, small of course, but you would know this before booking. the bathroom was bigger than I expected, larger shower than most ships. Plenty of storage, safe in the closet. Comfortable beds. This stateroom in on deck 12, on the transatlantic this was OK, if you are in warmer climates you will have noise from the open deck above, there was some noise each morning as there was a stewards locker below us and the door would slam every morning for about a half hour, if you are an early riser this will not bother you, but if you sleep in, you may be woken up. The location is near Stairway/Lifts B, you do not hear the elevators/lifts, the hall was very quiet. Easy access to the indoor Pavilion pool, and just three decks up from the Commodore Club. All other venues are on decks 2,3,7, a long way to climb the stairs although the lifts/elevators are fast. This is an end cabin so you only have a neighbor on one side.  Read entire member review.

She's and Ocean Liner not a by Atlantic Traveller

Deck 9 is entirely Queens Grill Suites & Penthouses. Concierge Lounge is conveniently located mid-ship on Deck 9. Large suite with walk in closet and separate dressing area. Plenty of additional closet and drawer space. Whirlpool bath tub as well as separate shower. Large balcony with two separate sliding glass doors to access. Last night of voyage I hosted a pre-dinner cocktail party with 7 new found friends. Plenty of room for everyone. Butler had hot hors d'oeuvres and drinks prepared and delivered as requested. Even a few additional items. When I returned to my suite after dinner to freshen up all left overs from the party had been cleaned up and room immaculate.

Our cabin was quiet, nicely appointed, bed spread was worn. Our balcony was a different kind where a hole was in the hull. It was like a picture window with open air. the lower part was steel. As I visioned it during booking, I thought we would be able to see over the balcony, but when sitting down y ou could not see out at all. It was called a "sheltered balcony". The picture was deceiving in the brochure and until I looked at it really close, my perception was very different than what we had. By that time, it was too late to change...we were just a couple of weeks away from sailing. I looked at this twice after reading about these sheltered balconies on cruise critic. I was too late. I wouldn't do that again. Lesson learned about how CLOSE you need to look and perceive when accepting your cabin.  Read entire member review.

We were in the Princess Grill class, 10th deck. The ship's diagram shows our stateroom across from the elevators; and that's probably why it wasn't booked. People were probably afraid of passenger and mechanical noise. But most elevators aren't open directly to the hallways; and if you look closely on the diagram, you'll see how they are enclosed. There was no problem of noise. Our stateroom was large with a good-sized sitting area plus 2 comfortable deck chairs on the veranda. I was amazed at the efficiency of the room design - for example, 2 large closets in the entry, 1 large walk-in closet, vanity with hair dryer in top right drawer plus extra shelves, room under the bed., bathroom wastebasket pulled out from the cabinet, tissue holder located in the cabinet, etc. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and I love having robes provided.

6095 Not recommended - it is right under the Lido. The noise ends after 11 p.m. and starts at 6 a.m. Sounds of chairs being dragged around and carts rolling overhead. Very small cabin. Too small to have room service - no place to put any trays. Bathroom tiles chipped, and shower with black mildew.  Read entire member review.

Cabin size more than adequate. Closet, however, could and should be a bit larger to accommodate longer cruises. Balcony was satisfactory in size but chairs were slightly uncomfortable. Location was good but not really excellent because we constantly heard noises made by a closing door above. We have taken notice of this in order to avoid the location in the future. Just a few cabins away on either direction would be fine. The door above belonged to the swimming pool area leading to the outside. Apparently many people use it in the morning after 8am and again several more times during the day. No problem in the evenings.  Read entire member review.

QG6 - forward. Great suite, very good hanging and shelf space. Odd arrangement in bathroom - tiny bath and shower over it so "hurdling" skills required. It is adequate with good cupboard and storage space. Such a lovely suite deserves a slightly larger bathroom in my view.  Read entire member review.
