Just what *is* a Meet & Mingle, anyway?
In a nutshell, a Meet & Mingle is a gathering of Cruise Critic members who have chatted with one another within our community prior to their cruise. The Meet & Mingle is hosted by Royal Caribbean on all sailings that are 7 nights or longer in duration, and you'll be able to register to attend approximately one year from your sailing date! A lounge or other venue is provided, as are light refreshments.

Why Should I Go?
This is an easy one, of course! You've interacted with each other for weeks, months...some of you for years! Royal Caribbean appreciates your loyalty and wants to make your cruise vacation special. Don't pass on an opportunity to meet each other. You'll be glad you did!

If You Sign Up, GO!
Royal Caribbean has made it very easy to plan your attendance at the Meet & Mingle. The day, time, and location of the Meet & Mingle are posted online at the Confirmed Meet & Mingles page, and you'll receive an e-mail confirming the time, date and place for the gathering! I'll admit, there were SO MANY choices on board Mariner of the Seas I could see how it would be tempting to skip the M&M, but DON'T! I know everyone wants these parties to continue...and after attending mine I can see how much effort is put into these gatherings by the staff on board. The Captain was at my party, as were many other staff members. Make it worth THEIR while, too. They truly want to meet you (and you can get a few nice pics with them, too!). Also, don't sign up just so a party will be held. It is disappointing to members, as well as the staff on board, to have only a few show up -- when they were anticipating a crowd!

No Invite? What to Do
A few have mentioned they did not receive an invite once on board. You know you signed up, you checked online for the day, time, and location, and received a confirmation e-mail from Royal Caribbean. If when you get onboard, your invitation is not in your stateroom, check with your Stateroom Attendant, call the Purser’s Desk/Guest Relations or the onboard Group Coordinator. They have a list of everyone who registered and call tell you the day, time and location of your Meet & Mingle.

Don't Sit -- Mingle!
I cannot stress this enough -- so I said it twice! When you enter the Meet & Mingle, don't just park yourself in a seat. You won't have a good time. Just remember that everyone else in the room is there to meet you...and vice versa! Get up...move around...MINGLE and you shall MEET -- and make great friends.
