We took the blue line boat service from Marco Polo Airport to the cruise terminal. This brings you next to the ship. During the 'ride' you get an excellent view of Venice, including San Marco. The ride goes very smooth. Costs: 14 euro pp single route. Even can be booked online in advance.

On our way back we took the people mover to Place Romale (1 euro pp) and then the bus to the airport (8 euro pp).

The ride by boat was the fastest (app. 1H). 
You have to walk to the boats from the airport terminal with your luggage (7 minutes). But you don't have to hop over along the way.

Venice

Cosy, very italian place. We didn't expect much of it, but is was a nice town for a stroll, a up of coffee, a 'focaccia' and a real-deal ice cream ;)
We stopped over at Bari for 3H and that was ok.

Bari

We rented a car at Avis (half day cruise tariff) and drove to Olympia.
(Costs: 45 euro + 10 euro fuel). We made a reservation online, but the rate is equal.

Olympia is a nice park, but in my opinion Pompeii (Italy) and Ephesus (Turkey) are much more interesting.

Katakolon (Olympia)

From the cruise port to the old city center, its quite a walk. The route is ok, through shopping area mostly. It's worth it, because the old caravan serai is nice. We walked back along the sea. There was a nice walking path with a lawn.

Izmir

An unexpected surprise! We tendered right into the little port of Dubrovnik and walked the tiny little streets and stairs of this nice old, but entirely renovated city. We had an ice cream and bought some souvenirs. The water is crystal clear at the harbour.

Dubrovnik

Beautiful building with nice tiles and painted windows. A bit smelling inside because you have to remove your shoes and walk on you're socks...

Here again: long lines and too many people inside (looks like a bee hive).

We had been in Istanbul before, but not yet visited Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque because of long lines. This tour was a nice complement of our earlier visit.

Grand bazaar is a touristic happening, but not to be missed. You can bargain quite good.

Enormous church with both remains of christian and Islamic ornaments. A museum nowadays.

OK cabin, quiet location, hallway sometimes noisy, not a big problem.
We used one ceiling bed for our 4Y old daughter. That worked quite well and didn't took too much space in the cabin.

Main dining room: gentle waiters, nice menu (no steaks!)
- friendly staff

Not so nice:
- no salmon for breakfast or lunch
- no fresh orange juice on board
- messages really loud over the on board speaker system in 6 languages
