I have been on an excellent two week Southern Caribbean Cruise on the Ventura with P&O Cruises.

P&O Cruises Ventura is 116,000 tonnes first entered service in 2008 and was refurbished in 2013.

The ship has a capacity of 3,078 passengers with 1,205 crew. In the refurbishment The Ramblas has been replaced by The Glass House by Olly Smith.

Cabin Review

The Super Deluxe Balcony Cabins are spacious cabins. They are 317 square feet including the balcony. The cabin is split into four sections. The first section includes the bathroom and walk in wardrobe. The bathroom has a bath and shower over the bath plus a sink and washbasin. The bathroom is one of the largest I have ever been in on a cruise. The walk in wardrobe is large with plenty of room to hang up clothes plus several draws and a safe. The second section is the bedroom with a large king size bed more draws for clothes, a large mirror and a flat screen television. Below the television there is a small fridge and a shelves for the tea and coffee making facilities and drinks bottles. The third section is the living room with a three seater sofa that converts to an additional bed. There is also a small coffee table, a chair and a flat screen television. The fourth section is a large balcony with chairs that convert to a sun lounger and a small table. The Super Deluxe Balcony Cabin is located on D Deck and because of the design of the ship the Balcony is overlooked by all of the above decks on the ship. Passengers in balcony cabins on Lido Deck, A Deck, B Deck and C Deck can view you on your balcony so there is a lack of privacy. Also passengers on Cirque Deck, Sky Deck, Sports Deck, Sun Deck and Lido Deck can see you on your balcony. The cabin includes an Atlas, Umbrella, Bathrobe and slippers. Flowers, Champagne and Chocolates are provided on arrival to your cabin. The soundproofing in the cabin was excellent and I never heard what my neighbours in the cabins next to mine were getting up to.Overall this is a superb cabin and I was happy to be in it on a two week Caribbean Cruise.
