We drove down to Savona from Austria the day before the departure and stayed at the highly recommended Motel Miro that more than served our needs - free safe parking, good dinner and breakfast

Sadly we were involved in the non democratic, (I am an EU citizen and also have rights) dumb, futile demonstration that kept us trapped in our car for 5.5 hours. Good for Italian tourism and the economy
