Super fast embarkation. Embarkation had two terminals “B” & “C”, so be sure to check-in at the correct terminal. To find your terminal, just check your cruise summery details. “B” was at the bow (front) and “C” was at the stern (back)

We took a 10:30 AM van from our hotel, arriving at the pier about 11 AM. There was a very short line at check-in, which went very smoothly and we were assigned group 5 for boarding. Within ½ hour we were onboard and instead of heading to the often over crowded buffet on deck 15, we went to O’Sheehan’s on deck 6 for lunch. We had the fish & chips and a chicken pot pie with a puff pastry top. Then we shared a brownie cheesecake with a caramel and mini marshmallow topping. YUM!

Service everywhere was excellent! Our room steward Junmar from the Philippines was very efficient, considering that he had 16 rooms to take care of every day. He even made us several towel animals – my favorite was a tiny mouse in a coffee cup.

Cabin Review

We were upgraded to room 9181 which had an extended balcony. Wave room was cozy. There was 18” between the bed & vanity and 25” between the sofa & closet. Definitely one person through at a time! Bed is 76” long. Storage, storage and more storage – we didn’t use it all. Sink is shallow, but you just have to use less water pressure and you’ll have no problem. We weren’t fond of the split bathroom concept, but we did hear that on the Breakaway and Getaway they went back to the regular bathroom layout. We had an extended balcony which was fantastic. Asked our room steward for a lounge chair, which he added to the 2 chairs and a small table.Electrical outlet is behind cabinet under the TV.Put your room key in the slot near the door to control the lights in your room.Bring extra hangers, - there never seems to be enough. There is extra storage behind the back cushions of the sofa. Also there are two hidden cabinets over the bed.Faux wicker basket under the sink is for dirty towels. In the hallway near the cabin room number there is a wheel with 4 choices:“Welcome” “Make Up Room” “Do Not Disturb” and “Turn Down Room” Use this wheel each time you leave your room.
