This was our first cruise and we followed the recommendation of friends to travel on a small, rather than medium or large, ship and to travel on Silversea. We were not disappointed and had a great trip.

Getting on and off the Silver Cloud was always easy, because the crew was well organized and because the number of passengers was small. Our midship veranda suite was the perfect size and we loved sitting on the veranda and enjoying the views, both while at sea and at port. (Our only complaint was that the air conditioning was too cold during the day and could not be regulated.) We loved the buffet breakfasts and lunches and the dinners, ordered from the menu, were consistently very good. The wait staff, butler and maid were friendly, professional and work very hard. I needed to visit the doctor once during the trip and the doctor and nurse were both very professional. We loved the vocal music entertainment at night....six very talented singers. The educational programs were excellent. We scheduled four shore excursions during the trip and all were well organized and executed. We particularly enjoyed the kayaking and snorkeling on Antigua. As a result of this first cruise, we are starting to think about our next cruise on Silversea.
