Just returned from two weeks East & West Caribbean cruise on the Dream. This was our 2nd time on the Dream and must admit after being upgraded to "Platinum" there was not an awful lot of difference....

The ship has been revamped, carpeted etc., We had a most enjoyable time, food was plentiful, hot and varied to suit all tastes. We ate mainly in the Lido Restaurant, no complaints at all, in fact the only embarrassing times were the passengers need for greed with the food and clicking fingers & shouting to attract the staff`s attention, who cannot do enough for you. Any special food requests were dealt with quickly and with a smile. I guess there will always be people who find fault with something. I can only suggest that these people should look at something like the Queen Mary 2 to be waited on hand and foot and not go for the "casual cruising" option. A bit of a downer is the lack of sunbeds when spending days at sea.

As I mentioned we had a great time, staff were brilliant, cabin staff were meticulous. The first couple of days aboard meant that we were served by staff instead of self service due to the winter sickness virus in the UK, which could cause queues but this was just a hygiene requirement and things were back to normal soon after. Like I said, the staff were nothing but brilliant, although we did notice that officers and one Thomson guy in particular talk down to them like 2nd class citizens which was way out of order, this should be dealt with as they are human too !

Cabin Review

Just brilliant !
