We have sailed 4 times on the Pacific Dawn, once on the Pacific Sun and once on Pacific Jewell since 2008. The services offered by P & O are getting worse with each trip. The number of passengers on the Dawn has risen from 1590 as stated on a plaque I bought in the onboard shop, to over 2000 that were on this cruise and staff have been reduced. Services have therefore suffered.
Headline Entertainment has been reduced. The Marquee Show Lounge is overcrowded due to the increased passengers so no seats are available unless you arrive long in advance of a session.
In the sit down Waterfront it is impossible to get a HOT meal & I don't believe this meats Australian standards. The Plantation is where one is forced to eat on Port days due to the Waterfront now being closed on these days. It is impossible to get a seat due to 2000 passengers trying to eat at the same time. We walked the entire restaurant looking & finally handed our trays to the Supervisor due to no seating.
Cabin is comfortable & quiet. Services have been halved in recent trips as per P & O's cutbacks
