I love to cruise and have been on plenty of Norwegian cruise ships before however, this boat was much too big and NOT ENOUGH OUTDOOR SPACE. It may be one of their biggest ships but most of the boat is dedicated to cramming as many people into little spaces as possible and VERY LITTLE is for relaxing. The only space to read a book without cigarette smoke is on the top deck which is loud and windy (and plenty of smokers in areas that do not contain smoke). The entire ship is cabins and gambling. NO spaces for relaxing and watching the ocean.

The customer service on this boat is horrid. We booked a show and paid for premium seating. We arrived 45 minutes prior to the show to a LONG line of other folks that had also book premium seating. Those that had not paid the extra $10 went DIRECTLY IN! Once in, all the seats were taken and we were in horrible seats with our view constantly blocked by the waiters. When we complained (not wanting a refund, only the extra $10 we paid for what we did not get) the customer service rep kept asking us where we sat and what table number (the tables were not numbered and even though I tried to explain repeatedly where we were, she said they were ALL premium seating). They not only did not listen to our complaint they made a point of making us feel stupid for saying anything. Wait staff was a joke as it took forever to get food out. At one meal, we saw our waiter ONCE and when we tried to ask the many "staff helpers" they all said they were there only to assist the waiter (who was never to be seen again). A "helper" finally took our order.

I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS SHIP. You can't really mess up a vacation surrounded by water and I will always love being out at sea but it was like the staff on the EPIC tried VERY hard to make this as non memorable as possible. And if you do book on the EPIC, DON'T PAY FOR PREMIUM ANYTHING WHEN IT COMES TO THE SHOWS!

Cabin Review

Cabin was very small.
