Embarkation was non eventful with the exception of two of the three 17 year olds in our group having Seapass cards that were for adults. Took a bit of time to fix this. MDR service was slow (seated at 5:50, entree served at 7:15) the first night but gradually improved. Unfortunately we missed the only show that night in the theatre due to this. Teen activities (15-17 year olds) were weak and counselors not pro-active. Our teens organized and rallied a dance party in the teen club. On sea days, bar service on deck was nearly non-existent. Waited over 30 minutes in line at Solarium bar. Finally spoke to a Bar Manager who apologized, had a server take our order, return with the drinks and then we carried our 6 drinks up to Deck 10 on our own. Production shows were rather mundane/weak. Comedian was good as was the juggler and vocalist. While aerial show was different, very short (15 minutes) and lackluster. Breakfast in Windjammer was typical but food temperature was lukewarm. MDR food quality was very good. Leaving the ship for excursions in both ports was painful. Took over an hour to get off the ship (delaying the time for the excursions by as much) while people were crammed in the stairways for several decks high. Most certainly would have been an issue in an emergency. Water in Roatan at Tabyana Beach was perfection but not so much in Cozumel at Playa Mia. Lots of seaweed but other activities, drinks and food made up for the murky waters. Shipboard activities were fun...Love and Marriage, Quest and Battle of the Sexes along with 70's Dance night and Dance Under the Stars were all great! Stateroom host was on point and we lacked for nothing. No robes in JS and noise from above was constant. Found myself apologizing to the one mom who was a first time cruiser that this was NOT typical for RCI. Let's hope not!
Overall, we had fun and made the best of the negatives. Would sail again on Vision, she is a beauty of a ship.
Noise from overhead was consistent. Nothing terribly loud or unusual but more annoying. Location center was convenient to elevators/stairs. We had four in our stateroom (two teen girls, two moms) and storage space was at a premium. Nice touch and surprise to see the footstools had storage in them...shoes went there! Had beds separated at turndown first night. Stateroom attendant was on point. No need went unmet.
