Sail Date: May 2014

We sailed on the 5-21 thru 5-28 cruise Civitavecchia round trip. We had 6 people with two spa mini suites and one spa balcony, all on deck 14. Everything was great. The vast majority of this ship embarks in Barcelona, so embarkation in Civitavecchia is very easy, with no wait at all.

Keep in mind that this cruise is very fast paced, you are in port every day except on the port between Barcelona and Naples days 5 and 6. This is a welcomed day at sea when you transit between the island of Corsica and the Sardinia island coast. It is hard to get a feel of this massive ship until that day.

NCL does a great job of offering guests options of dining. Their ala carte approach works very well on this type of cruise. You can choose traditional dining, which serves the purpose. However many other options are there for you. Some are at extra cost, others not. After cruising many other lines I believe that NCL’s food to be superior to the others.
