We've done a lot of traveling and have come to the conclusion that all our best travel experiences have one thing in common: sunny weather. I hate anyplace that is cloudy or rainy. Even if it is nice the next day. So when this cruise had perfect weather start to finish, it made up for any small imperfections.

Our cabin 8146 on deck 8 had a slightly larger than average verandah, otherwise it was a standard cabin on an aging ship. Rust on the balcony, discolored caulking in the shower, a curtain rather than a shower door... all small things made up for by perfect weather. Our cabin attendant was right on the mark though, he got us whatever we asked for and delivered it all with a smile.

This ship does by and large have a good crew. The captain is so good he can be in charge of the ship AND do comedy on stage. He's that good. And the HR guy on board (sorry I forgot his name, Nathan Something) he really is a former actor and he should be a cruise director, he is also incredibly entertaining. The cruise director Ken Mills, is great onstage. He missed an opportunity to make my day offstage but the weather made up for that.
