This is our second cruise, our first on the Pacific Dawn was good. Nice food, balcony room that was not too noisy. So for this short cruise, we thought we would treat ourselves to a mini suite. The mini suites are a good size, but on the Pearl are in the worst possible place. We were in room 11129 and were constantly having to put up with people running and stomping on the above deck and chairs being dragged. Some of the worse offenders were the staff putting out the chairs at 5am!

Having paid all that money we then had the disembarkation terminal changed from Circular Quay in Sydney (lots of public transport options, hotel chosen based on this disembarkation location) to White Bay which is in the middle of nowhere with NO public transport options. We had no email telling us that the terminal had changed after we booked - it would have been nice to perhaps try to organise some transport for the inconvenience but this was beyond the staff who just didn't care.

The food quality has also gone downhill, food that had been obviously frozen and definitely not fresh. The selection in the shops is also very limited - they didn't have items like AA batteries or asprin!! If we cruise again, it will NOT be with P&O and I will NOT be recommending anyone I know cruise with P&O. There are plenty of other ships that are not that much more expensive but way better in terms of service and quality.

Cabin Review

Cabin Mini Suite

Good size, very comfortable bed, bath a size that you can actually use.
