This was my first cruise, so we pushed the boat out & booked a deluxe room with private balcony, plus full all inclusive drinks. We also went on the overnight experience to Nazareth, Bethlehem and Jerusalem. Overall this was a fantastic break! The ship, although 30 years old & recently refurbished, was very comfortable, the staff were amazingly friendly with a very professional service. We especially liked dining in the Meridian Restaurant as this was a little more up market to the buffet style in the Lido Restaurant. The excursions were also very good, with the star of the main trip being Sharon Pelleg who was very knowledgeable and professional. She gave us the full story of Israel including the history, religious focus and the political problems that they face there. This was certainly a 5 star experience.

The cabin was very comfortable with plenty of room and that amazing balcony! We had cabin 012 which is in the centre of the accommodation on the sun deck. The bed was large and very comfortable and there was a large amount of luggage and wardrobe space. The bathroom was a reasonable size and we had both a bath & shower in our room. The cabin staff also looked after us well with nothing being too much trouble.

The only minor issues were that we could not hear the tannoy announcements in our cabin, the air conditioning was not great, we were woken a few times when fellow passengers left the Horizons bar around 2:00am in the morning and we found the reception staff a bit stand-offish and did not really resolve any of our minor issues. But, this is certainly a cruise that was worth every penny for us.
