This was our first cruise was unsure what to expect. Check in was well organised and timely. We had a balcony cabin on deck 11 A441, had adequate space plenty hanging room and drawers. Shower area was a bit small but we found adequate for what we used it for. I was really glad we paid the extra for the balcony as it was lovely watching as you went into docks. We opted for 8.30 dining in Adriatic and found the service of the wine waiter and waiting staff impeccable. The food was absolutely lovely and always well presented. We never went on any organised trips we preferred to do our own thing and the free shuttle bus was great, Madeira was lovely and not far to walk into the centre, loved La Palma, with its narrow streets and great photo,s from this port. I cannot understand other bad reviews and wonder if we were on the same cruise. It was very busy in the Plaza but always good selection and we always got a table ok. People who Milan about the Plaza could have had breakfast at any of the other restaurants. There was dome good bargains in the on board shops and every day it was a different theme. Perfumes, handbags, jewellery etc. you could take on your own bottle inboard for in your. Cabin which a lot of other cruise lines will not let you do. We seen some great shows, Bee Gees tribute, killer queen, blues brothers etc and all very good. I cannot understand why people say there was nothing to do in the day? There was daily quits, bingo, talks, dance lessons, games on deck, beauty talks. We never did them as we were with friends but they were there if you wanted to join in. We had the captains choice wine package 12 bottles for £175 which worked out very well for us. You could have what ever you wanted out of the collection and if you preferred just a couple you could mix and natch. We realised we were not going yo use all ours so ordered a couple of bottles to the room and took down to the bar for pre dinner drinks rather than pay for wine at the bar, there was no corn age charge as it was their wine. If you bought a bottle at port they would have charged you £15 to cork which I think is only fair. Would we travel again with P and O definitely. To end it all getting of the ship was well organised. You selected your preferred time slot. Left your cabin at 8.00 and sat in the allocated bar, they would come and get you get off and your bags were sell ready stored by the first cabin of your cabin. We found ours really easily and were off and ready in about 5 minutes. We were delayed because our friends could not find one of theirs. After searching through all the other letters it turned out it was where it should have been in the first place.

To sum up loved it and would do it all again.

Our balcony grade was GA which is not in the drop down option.
