Sail Date: Jul 2014

Im going to start this from the beginning and try to keep it short.

Embarkation: Simple fast and efficient. From the time we hit the receiving area (10:30a) to the time we were actually on board, 45 mins. We drove to the luggage drop off area, had our luggage unloaded in record time. Then drove to the parking lot $19/day $133 total. We parked the car and the parking lot shuttle was waiting for us. Quick shuttle trip to the embarkation area. Proceeded through security very quickly maybe 5 mins. The line to check in was a bit long but moved very smoothly. We proceed through the terminal to the shuttle. The shuttle was there and waiting. After about a two minute wait we head towards the ship. A quick two minute ride and we arrive at the ship. We scan our sea pass and entire the beautiful Summit. We walk on and are greeted by no lees that 5 crew members welcoming us aboard. We are given a choice of champagne, mimosas or free squeezed OJ. We are then guided to the elevators which were supposed to take us to deck 10 ( the pool and the buffet). We elected to get off at deck 3 ( guest services) to look around the ship. Time is now 1115a.

Ships Tour: The Summit is beautiful! Very tasteful decor and the staff was beyond pleasant. We walked decks 3 and 4 taking pictures all the way. ( pictures will be posted in an album at a later time.) The Martini bar (deck 4 Mid) is a very cool place and when empty it made for quite a sight. As we continued to explore we walked through the Rendezvous bar. In shades of plush reds it looked like a great place to meet up and have a drink with friends or watch the varied entertainment that was provided there ( a 4 piece jazz group, dance contest, Xbox time on the big screen, art auctions and lots of other things.) We walked into the Cosmopolitan dining room to find our seats for late dining (830p). We asked to be moved to a table for 2 as my DW isnt very social sometimes and we didnt want to ruin ours or anyone elses dining with incompatibility. Our request was granted and we were seated next to another table for 2. Close enough to talk if we wanted but enough room to be alone of that was our wish as well.

Cabin Review

Extremely spacious cabin. Great view of the front of the ship out of the window. At Cape Liberty you can see the Tear Drop Monument from the cabin window. The bed was firm/hard. No complaints at all about the cabin and would book it again. Was told that this is the largest ocean view cabin and I now believe it.
