Sail Date: Aug 2014

We just got off this boat yesterday (Charleston- 5 day cruise), and while the overall vacation was a nice enough vacation, I can tell you that I would never sail on the Fantasy again. Having been on about a dozen various cruises and different lines, I was very underwhelmed with this experience. On the plus side, the cabin was very nice. No blow dryer in cabin, just ask and they will provide one. The room steward was friendly.

On the down side, the food made all four people in my party sick at least twice or more (vomiting/diarrhea). The food wasn't that good in the dining room, they consistently missed the mark with food either being overcooked, mushy or dry. Portions were child size. Service was slow. We had late seating at 8:15, and the first night it was a struggle to get out by 10 to see a show, which didn't give us enough time to get a seat. As people stopped using the dining room, service improved at our table. Unfortunately a lot of the better shows were scheduled during the second seating dinner, which we missed.

Some shows were held in a smaller room (magician, comedians, etc), with not a lot of seating for guests so at least 30 or more people had to stand with more being turned away, while the much larger auditorium/theater was not in use at the same time.
