This cruise was chosen for a family holiday, likely to be the last we will all share together, so we wanted something special and it was picked because of the destinations. Unfortunately, it did not match my expectations.

Cabin: 1046 advertised as a quad room but no larger than other concierge cabins. It has two single beds which can be zipped together , the settee makes the third bed and the fourth is a bed which comes from under the settee. Quite adequate for our 13 and 11 yr olds but could be a bit small for older children.

The settee and the trundle bed are nearest to the window, which makes it very difficult for anyone to access the balcony when the two smaller beds are occupied. The balcony is slightly larger because of where the cabin is situated but still only accommodates 2 chairs, footrests and table. Because of the angle of the balcony the view is restricted in that you cannot see to the front of the ship.

The bathroom is bigger with a generous shelving, good sized shower having perspex doors. Towels, flannels, soaps etc replenished very frequently.Storage space generally was ok, but to access the overhead cupboards it might be necessary to stand on the bed and for four occupants extra coat hangers.Close to lift at the theatre end.Evening canapes always the same and not very appetisingThe large bottle of water in your room will cost you $6 so read the small print.Tea and coffee making facilities
