this is our 2nd cruise with RCI,thinking the first cruise was great. When i called ,the staff told me over the phone that we were lucky as the whole ship was refurbished, and remodeled to the latest. What a joke..the ship was outdated, and not much to offer. As soon as we boarded the ship, fliers to special dining was handed to us ,n as if it's not enough , there were posters everywhere-the wines, fine dining.  The stateroom was ok, except for the bathroom. had a hard time showering, it's a tight little cubicle, prepare to take a sponge bath ..not much to say with activities, band in the center was too loud, should have relocated elsewhere, as one can hear the music blasting away when one is trying to go to sleep.

The food was lousy, cold, and not much variety, seem like RCI is cost cutting.. when i mentioned the remodeling n refurbishing of the ship to the main dining attendant, he gave me a blank look, not knowing how to react, as he has been on that ship for 15 years., The first night my husband ordered steak, thinking that should not pose a problem, yet the steak came out dry, tough like eating a leather shoe. he had it replaced which came out even worse, as the attendant was back in 5 min.. the steak was soo dry like it was cooked in microwave oven. Just horrible, he left the MDR hungry, so went up to Park cafe n had a roast beef sandwich. The menu does not change, unless one wants to shell out more $$ for their special dining, As with the buffet lunch, it was cold, pasta was mushy, not much of variety.

no comment on shore excursions since we did them on our past cruises. the disembarkation was something else.. we could not understand the announcement/s on the mic as it was muffled,. on top of that, the lack of announcemet/s ..we were held back in port canaveral,(standing with 90 degree sun ) by immigration as we didnt carry our photo ID. we were treated like aliens, we were escorted finally by immigration just before the ship entrance, but the horrible part was security of RCI would not allow us into the ship even with immigration officers confirming our names in the manifesto.. when we did re-enter, we went straight to complain to the guest relations manager, nothing was done, an offer of a fine dining was offered to blow off the issue. RCI knew they were incompetent n wrong.
