Traveled with children

This was our first experience of cruisng and we were delighted. Our family of two adults and three children (13, 11, 7) have come back with so many fond memories of the whole holiday. We were apprehensive at first as we had heard mixed reports of cruises as a form of holiday. We have come away from our first cruise with the biggest complaints being that there was too much food and not enough time to enjoy all of the activities and facilities on board so we are converted.

My wife has a history of sea sickness and this is why we choose a large, modern ship travelling in relatively small seas - she did not have one day of sickness which was a relief.

The younger kids thought the kids club was fantastic which is mainly due to the effort put in by the staff.

Cabin Review

We initially wanted connecting roms but the agent was not able to arrnage this. When we boarded we found we could open the divider between the balconies which effectively gave us what we needed. We also had to have our young son in the room but when we boarded there was only bedding for two of us. The Steward showed us the third bed that dropped down from the roof at night which worked well as it was out of the way during the day. Pity the agent could not have advised us about wither of these solutions. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Being near the rear lifts and stairs was very convenient. Also being close to the self service laundry was also very convenient for us.
