I have sailed on a lot of Carnival ships and am a platinum member of the "VIFP" club on Carnival. I have to say that the Sunshine was the best Carnival ship I've been on in a long time. I love the food venues: Guy Fieri's hamburgers (no extra charge); Blue Iguana Cantina (no extra charge); Havana bar (no extra charge); Taste bar; Farenheit 555 steakhouse ($35 cover charge, but worth every penny!). I didn't try Cucina del Capitano, the Mongolian restaurant, but did try Ji Ji's at lunch (no cover, but a cover at dinner) The Bonsai sushi was delicious--the charge was minimal. I didn't frequent the buffet--only ate there once. The pizza was regular Carnival-style pizza; no charges there. Our group ate in the Sunrise Restaurant, and it was very good--good variety food and good service.
The serenity deck(s) were nice and comfortable--adults only. The musical entertainment was very enjoyable--#TheTruth was a phenomenal band. Also enjoyed the entertainment in the RedFrog Pub. Dan, in the piano bar, was entertaining--knew lots of songs that we liked ☺ I didn't attend any of the comedy shows--just didn't make time, because I was enjoying the musical entertainment. Try the Sunshine--you'll like it!
