My wife and I wanted a quick getaway, so a short shot to the Bahamas and back seemed to fit the bill, though we stayed in Grand Bahama for two nights before returning. We have travelled all over the world on some of the big ships with big names....Celebrity, Crystal, Royal Carribbean, NCL, etc. so our expectations for the Bahamas Celebration were modest. We were surprised. We had purchased a "suite", which on this ship is small but nice. Upon arriving, we were offered to purchase "Concierge Service" for $125 round trip. It was worth every cent!! Priority seating at dinner and events, free this, free that, but best of all being escorted on and off the ship by a crew officer thus bypassing crowds and hassle, which alone was worth the fee.

The ship is clean and the staff eager to please. I read one post here that was critical of the food. I disagree. We had terrific meals at the restaurants, particularly The Cove, where the staff bent over backwards to please and the food was excellent. It was our wedding anniversary, and the staff surprised us with a special cake for dessert. It was wonderful.

In all, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ship despite its age, but most of all by the staff and crew, who were again always eager to please and practically begging for some positive reinforcement, which we gladly gave. We will do this again when the urge strikes for another quick getaway. Lots of fun and relaxation.

Cabin Review

Suites are quite modest but ample for the short cruise. You won't spend much time in it anyway as you will be enjoying the ship. Beds are comfortable and the unit well stocked.
