Sail Date: Jul 2014

This is our second Royal Caribbean cruise and possibly our last. We sailed on Allure of the Seas and had good experiences on both ships most of the time but think we can get a better value on other lines. The embarkation was very fast and friendly. Service throughout the ship was excellent, we had very attentive wait staff, room steward and good interactions with the front desk. The ship was very clean and pretty well maintained but some of the wooden railing needed to be refinished. The bathroom in our stateroom did not offer a good layout for keeping cosmetics and toiletries stored. We also struggled with the room safe and had to call for maintenance twice because it would jam.

We loved the theming and comfort of the adult pool. We would have enjoyed some music near the pool and availability of snacks and sandwiches closer to the pool. The private island was just wonderful for swimming and activities but a long walk to get lunch and no other spots near the bars for food. The bar we were near ran out of beverages.

The entertainment was very good with the exception of the comedian. Fart jokes, really?? The singing group was out of this world. It would have been great to see them again entertaining around the ship. We frequented the piano bar and really liked the crowd, service and music.

Cabin Review

Good location on ship. Quiet with easy access to the elevators. Dislike the chairs on the balcony, very uncomfortable and not for lounging.
