August 17-24, 2014 - What great fun! And finally we got on a ship that was larger than 110,000 tons. Don't get me wrong we've been on all the smaller ones 70,000 right to the 110,000 ton ships but this was our first on a large ship. Why did we wait so long? Well we thought there would be just too many people, too many lines, and my husband knows I am not one for patience with stupidity. I guess I have to eat my words - my Mom and Dad were right, (70+ lost count cruise people that they are), said it would be fun and we wouldn't notice too many crowds, they were right! This is a long one better settle in.....
Room: 2604 - amazing!Quiet no engine noise, in fact, no noise at all! Best room we've ever had on a Ship! HOWEVER, why they think a 1 inch mattress topper counts as a pillow top bed. It certainly does not!! Lovely, wonderful large port hole window with great views from our king size bed. Didn't need a balcony we were out doing too much stuff! Our attendant very sweet Mr. Cumberbund. Thank you for making it comfortable for us.
Windjammer - I don't know what people mean by not enough variety. Everyday I saw something new. I could always find a seat too. Too much salt - too much salt- and too much salt. Someone should tell the chefs you don't need salt to make food tasty!
Lovely room, and so quiet! The best we've had on any ship. However, where do you get off saying that it's pillow top bed when all you've done is put a 1 inch foam topper on a hard bed? Our attendant Mr Cumberbund did an outstanding job.
