Went on the Carnival Valor August 10th through the 17th. Embarkation was fine. Rooms were as expected. Had a balcony which was nice except for the smokers on both sides. Excellent room steward (Imani ). If you have him he will keep your room ship shape!

Ate in the dining room nightly. The food was not very good and the portions were petite. Nothing stood out as good. Worst cruise food we have had. We were on the Dream last year and the food was great. They really need to work on this area. The buffets for breakfast and lunch were ok. The 24 hour pizza was very tasty but the lines were awful. Same for the sandwich station. The fish and oyster station was also good.

There were shows nightly but only went to the juggling show which was surprisingly good. Comedian shows offered nightly but only one family friendly show which always was before our dining time was over. They need more family friendly times.

Cabin Review

Positive,Good cabin close to the elevators. Negative, You could hear the shows in the theatre.
