The Oasis is not your typical cruise, you might not feel fussed over like on other ships but omg what a ship! We usually cruise on Celebrity or Holland. I swore would not go on RCC since I caught the Nor Virus in 2006 on our last RCC cruise. But we had few options for a summer Caribbean cruise since most ships are in Europe or Alaska in the Summer.

I read the reviews on Oasis and they really varied - especially about the food. We found the food to be excellent even at the buffet. We read that there were crowds for the Windjammer buffet, and there were at peak times. But this ship offers many other free venues for meals that other ships just don't have. Since I read the reviews that mentioned this we opted for the other venues and they were fine. I suggest you get yourself familiar with the many other free dinning option offerings your first day on the ship. Try them. You will like the surprise. There are plenty of specialty (extra fee) restaurants as well.

The entertainment was everything from ice skaters to a Broadway show, all great. Since 6000 people can't fit in one show venue all at once a reservation system is employed to manage them. I was only able to pre-book 2 of the 5 (free) shows before getting on the ship.If you don't make your reservations before you get on the ship, don't worry, do it after you get on from the comfort of your stateroom's interactive tv. I learned that only 60% of seats are allowed to be reserved in advance. I was able to get seats for every show even though we booked the very last minute.

Cabin Review

Typical balcony room but, the floor to ceiling windows allowed me to see the ocean from bed, That was wonderful. The room was quiet and comfortable.
