Sail Date: Aug 2014

This was our first cruise, and we were looking forward to seeing the watery part of the world. We needed some down time with no meals to cook, dishes to wash, or beds to make. This seven-night jaunt to Bermuda sounded like just the ticket.

We were treated like royalty by the ship’s captain, crew, and staff. Making eye contact with virtually anyone who worked on board was sure to result in a smile and spoken greeting in response. Our cabin stewards , Santana and Hillary (both men), did a first-rate job of keeping our stateroom clean and tidy. The bed was made and turned down daily, and we each received a chocolate-covered Oreo on our pillows on formal nights.

Because we were in Aqua Class, we had chilled sparkling wine waiting for us when we arrived, and Santana kept the room stocked with bottled water and tea each day. The room was comfortable and attractive, and our little veranda was the perfect spot for the two of us to perch and watch the vast blue ocean roll by.
