This was our second booking with Viking. Our first on the Danube was shortened because of extreme flooding last year. Viking handled the situation superbly, and provided a credit which was a pleasant surprise and made it possible for us to book again. This time we cruised on the picturesque Rhine from Amsterdam to Basel.

First about our ship - The Ingvi. Beautifully designed, quiet, and surprisingly roomy. Our room with real balcony was functional and provided adequate space for storage. The bathroom and shower were very well planned and met all our requirements. The restaurant, Aquavit Terrace and other public spaces were well laid out. The upper deck was excellent for lounging and sightseeing.

The Staff - Viking staff in every aspect were competent, pleasant and attentive. The Program Director, Nick, was not only competent, but a born comedian and performer of boundless energy. Sasha, the maître de, was very attentive to my wife's dietary restrictions as was all his staff. Minho, the Chef, provided us with great meals that were nicely presented and delicious. Wine flowed generously until you said stop, please.
