BACKGROUND: I'm in my 50s, active and a seasoned cruiser. I chose this ship mostly due to the solo cabins as I was by myself. I was a bit hesitant due to the size and some negativer reviews of the Epic. I'm glad I sailed, as I had a great cruise.

EMBARKATION/DEBARKATION: NCL has this down to a science. I expected long lines with 5,000 passengers, but both moments were easy. On debarkation day, I had breakfast at 8:15, walked off the ship at 9:00, and checked into my hotel by 9:30!

PUBLIC AREAS: This ship isn't designed with a "wow" factor, so there aren't any great public spots. Deck space is limited and no chairs on Deck Seven, which is the promenade deck.
