Our second cruise on Independence. We had a very enjoyable cruise, although there were some negatives.

Our cabin was an Oceanview Stateroom on Deck 2. It was exactly as we anticipated - small, but reasonably well equipped. No complaints.

Half way through the cruise, a letter was issued stating that the hard-wired hair dryers in the cabins could not be used due to safety concerns. A $30 credit was offered, but this wasn't much use when my family includes my wife and 2 daughters, all with long hair...... There was an option of borrowing a hair dryer, however this had to be booked in advance and for a maximum of 30 minutes.... We booked this and when 30 minutes was up, there was a knock on the door and they insisted (quite rudely) that we give it back immediately.
