My husband and I sailed on the Solstice for an Inside Passage of Alaska. This was our first cruise with Celebrity. Embarkation was seamlessly smooth. We departed from Seattle, Washington. We received a text weeks beforehand that we should embark at 11 am. The ship did not depqrt until 5 pm. We were processed and on the ship within 20 minutes of arrival. We then had time to explore the ship and get a tour of the spa facilities before we ate lunch at the Oceanview Cafe.

Our cabin was in the Aqua Class section on floor 11, the Penthouse Deck. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of storage space in our cabin, including in the bathroom where we had storage we didn't even need to use. The cabins are so efficiently designed and very accomodating. The balcony was a welcome addition to our room. The biggest asset to our room was Badrus, our stateroom attendant. As if by magic he would have our room cleaned and towels replaced by the time we returned from breakfast. I the evenings we would also experience the same magic. All of the attendants, waitstaff and workers on the ship were quite pleasant and welcoming.

Because we were in Aqua Class we had bottled waters and tea in the stateroom and ice buckets filled at all times. In addition we were allowed in the Persian Gardens and the Relaxation Room. We enjoyed the Hargrove Shower Panel. The biggest perk though was the Blue restaurant where we ate the majority of nights. What a nice inviting place! The food was mostly great, although we don't enjoy having Rack of Lamb and Duck as an entree on the menu most nights. My shoutout is for excellent appetizers. About the 4th day we found out that you can always order shrimp cocktail, escargot, French onion soup and Caesar salad which are not even listed on the menu. Yummy!

Cabin Review

AquaClass 1

Cabin A1

Cabin was in the forward section, floor 11, Cabin 1545. Excellent location near the elevators and stairs. noise was not a problem. Very convenient since the ship is so large.
