Oasis was our 4th Royal Caribbean ship to sail on which was August 23-30, 2014. The previous RC's were Rhapsody twice and Voyager once, and Disney once. My husband and I wanted to try a bigger ship and we were totally blown away by the beauty and ambiance of Oasis of the Seas. The shows were phenomenal especially The Aqua shows, watching those high divers dive 60 ft. into a 17.9 ft. pool (which is by the way, the deepest pool of any ship we were told!) We could never get into Hairspray because we didn't book before show, so make sure you book before getting on otherwise; you won't get in! We stood in the stand-by line several times, but to no avail. Make sure you see "Come Fly with Me!" don't want to say to much, or would give it away because of all the amazing acrobatic stunts they do.

This was our first time to ever have a balcony and I'm SOLD! We've always had inside cabins before and decided to treat ourselves since we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We had breakfast on our balcony several times and it was nice eating while watching the ocean. I enjoyed getting up in the morning and going out on the balcony to see and hear the most beautiful sound; the ocean. It was so serene.

We were suppose to go to the Bahamas but a hurricane hit the Sunday that we were suppose to be there so our wonderful Captain naturally decided to skip that island for our safety (Thank you Captain Trym Selvag) so we had another sea day instead and still got to enjoy the other two gorgeous islands St. Thomas and St. Martin which were amazing islands to see.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Large Balcony

Cabin D1

Our stateroom was perfect, away from service elevators and was mid ship, mid level. Our balcony was wonderful and will always have a balcony on future cruises. The Captain did have to make an announcement to remind people that there was a NO SMOKING policy in staterooms AND balconies which I'm glad he did because several times we both smelled smoke (we are obviously nonsmokers and were irritated with that because you pay quite a bit for that balcony.
