This was our seventh Celebrity cruise (after many RC cruises). But, it was our first time on Summit, as well as our first trip to Bermuda. Let me say that we loved Bermuda, but this review will only address our ship-board experience.
We had very few complaints, on this cruise -- and those are directed more at X's fleet-wide changes (read: cut-backs), rather than to anyone/anything on this particular ship:
No ice bucket in the Concierge Class rooms -- Really?? I can live without the flowers and pillow chocolates, but (especially as hot as it was) I need my ice service twice a day! When we met our fabulous room steward (Lalaine), she said that they had discontinued the routine use of the ice buckets, due to "health regulations" -- but she would be happy to bring us one and keep it filled -- which she did. Since the weather forecasts predicted rain, we also had to ask her to find one of the small umbrellas for us. I remember those being in every cabin we’ve ever had on X – but they are apparently no longer a “Concierge Class amenity”. The good news was that it didn’t rain at all, while we were in Bermuda.
