My wife and I and four other friends (couples) had a fun and informative cruise to an area of the world none of us had been to and our first with Celebrity.

We generally found Celebrity lived up to its marketing and other reviews. The food was very good, service excellent and cleanliness of the ship very good. The cruise itinerary worked well with many interesting ports, a few lay days at sea and a pretty efficient embarkation/disembarkation process. The entertainment on board was pretty varied although we tended to spend more time dining and relaxing in the Sky Lounge chatting than seeing shows. We did listen to a bit of music and attended a few of the chefs events which were ok.

We did end up buying the wine packages which were quite good although prices by normal land standards are not cheap. The wine quality of the "premium" package was surprisingly good though. Read more
