Keeping in mind that reviews are very subjective allow me to say this. When cruising you meet all types of people. They range from happy and enjoying life to just down right miserable and complaining, With that said, with a ship this size, there is so much going on that there is a lot of things to love if your the former, and a lot to hate if you are the latter. When you read reviews calling food garbage and this ship gaudy, you know what side of the spectrum the reviewer stands.
The food is quality. The (included) main dining rooms had delicious meals for dinner (awesome prime rib). Yes they are a little slow. Just allow some extra time. We ate at 3 specialty restaurants, Moderno, Cagney's and Lacucina. Very good and the outdoor available seating was a nice touch. We stayed away from the buffet except for lunch one day and that was good, It seems the buffet lines are an open invitation for the loud mouth complainers who after filling there plate for the third time , complain about the food.
Soda is available at every bar and we NEVER had a problem getting one as were on the soda plan. Amazing what a little research about your cruise ship can make your trip enjoyable.
We had a mid ship starboard balcony. Shipped docked (it's random) port side so we had a terrific panoramic view of Bermuda. The room is nicely appointed. Plenty of room for 2. Balcony is small but manageable for 2 people. Plenty of storage. Bathroom is a nice size for a cruise ship. Bed was SUPER comfortable. Couch was okay for a child/teen for 3 in a room if needed. Our cabin steward was great. Jose gave us towel animals (my wife loved them) every evening and kept our cabin immaculate. They did a nice job decorating for our anniversary and my wife's birthday. Very satisfied.
