We are locals so we drove to the POM. Parked at Premier Parking on NE 2nd Ave. Shuttle to the port was quick. We got to the port at about 1:15. We were on the ship by 2:00. Very smooth check in process.

First impression, this ship is beautiful. The Swarovski Crystal Staircase was gleaming. Cabin was ready by 2:30. We were upgraded to a balcony cabin 13098. Cabin was located under the pool deck. I was a little concerned about the noise but the only real issue was, they start moving the deck chairs around 5:30 am. Cabin itself was spacious. Bathroom was big. Lots of storage. Our room steward was great. He understood and also spoke some english. Never had an issue. We saw him every morning and several times throughout the day. Always greeted us with a smile. Entertainment was the best I've seen on a cruise ship. The Michael Jackson Tribute was wonderful. There are a lot of talented people on the entertainment committee. Andre, the cruise director was friendly and approachable. The pool area was a bit congested but we always managed to find a table to sit and enjoy our cocktails. On a several occasions strangers would ask to sit with us. It was a great way to meet new people. The food was good. Lots of choices on the buffet. You really had to explore the buffet. Lots of different stations. Dining room food was decent. Small portions but you can always get seconds on anything. The Prime Rib and the steak were a dissappointment, however there were other options. We ate in the Black Crab and our waiter was great. Again, he understood and spoke english very well.. In fact everyone we came in contact with did their best to speak and understand us. Service was great in all the bars we visited. The Sports Bar was a big disappointment. It was opening weekend for the NFL and we could not watch any games. Why have a sports bar if you can't get sports?? Ports were great. Skipped GSC because of bad weather. Good decision by our Captain to take us to Grand Turk. Better than an extra sea day. The Spa was great. We both got very relaxing massages. Very clean. In fact the whole ship was well maintained. Everyday people were maintaining and cleaning the ship. Disembarkation was very organized. We met in the theater at 8:15 and we were back in our car and on the road within an hour. Overall a great vacation. I will sail Divina again.

Cabin Review

Cabin 12

Our cabin was clean and spacious. Balcony was average size. Bathroom was very roomy and had lots of storage. Closet and drawer space was good. Lots of hangers. Bed was very comfortable, however the pillows were lumpy. MSC does not supply robes. We had to ask our room steward for them. They were delivered that afternoon. The location of our cabin was under the pool deck. The issues we had were they start about 5:30 am setting up the deck chairs. Also, I believe this was the smoking side of the ship because the cabin smelled like cigarette smoke quite often.
