The following review concerns our first ever cruise and I am aware that I have nothing to compare it to cruise wise although I have traveled extensively and usually stay in 4 - 5 + star accommodation.
My hubby and I had just returned from a cracking holiday in Malta (August 2013) and decided to book a cruise for the following year. I spoke to an elderly Aunt who had been cruising forever and a friend who just got back from one. My Aunt did say cruising was a bit like Marmite..You either love it or hate it.
After much "oohing and aahing" over the Thomson Cruise brochure we decided to sail on the Thomson Celebration the following September. Over the course of 14 days we would take in Egypt, Israel, assorted Greek Islands and Turkish souks. We upgraded to a deluxe cabin on the 7th deck (104 Mariner Deck).
Lots of noise from both generators and stairwell/door banging. The stairwell leads on to deck 6 which is were people smoke, so it is busy. At the opposite end of the public laundry and gym/spa.
