we are Platinum with Carnival, having 30+ cruises under our belts. If this were our first cruise, we would never go on another. The cabin steward could not retain, despite being told multiple times, that we had early dinner. He wanted to make up our room at 8pm, when we were in bed.

The dining room service was very poor. It took over an hour to be served our cold meals. The bar service guy could not keep our orders straight. We gave up after the second night. The lido deck food was horrible. Top sirloin was so tough it could not be cut with a chainsaw. The backing curtain at the balcony glass door had black mold growing on it, and some sort of mucus or something equally gross.

The debarkation process was a nightmare-- we waited an hour for the 50-passenger bus to fill so we could depart. The Alaska cruise has always been our favorite-- perhaps it will be again when we try Celebrity.
