My wife and I cruised on the Royal Caribbean Vision of the Seas over Labor Day weekend this year. We are RCI Gold members only a couple of days away from becoming Platinum and have cruised on a number of different carriers over the years. We enjoy cruising mostly because we simply can't beat the price for the complete travel package. And since we live in Florida we are usually available to cruise on relatively short notice. Our vacations are typically dedicated to resting, reading and relaxing. We generally don't do a great deal of drinking and off ship excursions.

We have seen fantastic ships with equal staff and crew. We also have seen the opposite. And everything in between.

I would place the Vision of the Seas firmly below average. There are definite high points, the food quality and dining room staff. There were low points, the very strong smell of paint in our cabin and the attitude of the bar personnel. But the overwhelming low point is ship safety.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin G1

Occasionally noisy and vibrates heavily when the ship is using bow thrusters. Filled with paint fumes one day.
