My wife and I have over a dozen previous cruise experiences and this is our third cruise on the Celebrity line. We chose this cruise for its ports of call, our previous experiences with Celebrity and time of year. Like most of our fellow passengers, we are seniors. My wife has some limited mobility issues but can get around without any assistance of apparatus. But to make it easiest for her we selected a cabin that was mid-ship and Aqua class. We felt it would be easier for us to eat at Blu and the amenities of an Aqua class cabin would be beneficial.

Though Cape Liberty does not have a great embarkation/disembarkation building, getting aboard the Celebrity Summit was easy and quick. Our cabin was what we expected as far as size and layout and, for the most part the condition of the cabin was good. A couple of drawers in the wardrobe closet were not functioning correctly but the rest of the cabin was fine. Aqua class advertises special bathroom products but we did not find them to be special at all, just average.

The service aboard the Celebrity Summit was, for the most part pretty good. The first night was a fire drill in Blu. I think it was more of an issue of repositioning of the ship and new crew members. By the next day or so, the service was very good in Blu. I can also mention at this time, the food was very good as well. Occasionally, we picked an item we did not like when it was served. It was promptly replaced with a second choice.
