The ship is an engineering wonder with magnificent facilities but the service on board was appalling because it is apparent that the officers are conspicuous by their absence and do not communicate with the crew. The cruise on The Oasis was our seventh with Royal C and the short cruises they offered from Barcelona afforded the opportunity to experience first hand the ship that has received so much press but without the need of travel to The United States.

The exceptional service and standards we have experienced on their other ships is not available on the Oasis and the safety drill at the start an absolute shambles - staff gave guests 3 different times for the compulsory drill resulting in chaotic conditions on the 5th deck where the drill is held.

Guest services are a joke and guests can expect to queue for over an hour because the desk staff are not supervised by an experienced officer and passengers should expect long delay if they require food in the restaurants included in their package when the ship is at sea

Cabin D8

Superb and supported by a super, room attendant from Romania who was one of the few crew that provided excellent service
