We booked this cruise for a short getaway and we had not sailed on Vision before. As the date approached I was a bit concerned by all the negative reviews that were being posted but in the 2 weeks leading up to our cruise there were a number of positive reviews so we were anxious to see how ours would turn out. In the end it was a very good cruise with only one exception.

We arrived at the terminal at 12:45 and was onboard in record time. It took us less than 15 minutes to get through security and check-in. We went directly up to the Windjammer for lunch. It was busy, but not packed as is often the case on embarkation day. It was the typical food choices and everything was very good in our opinion. After lunch, we headed down to the dining room to check out our table assignment as we had requested a table for two. Our table was a two seater so we were happy not to have to try and get it changed. As a note to others it appeared to us that Vision seemed to have more tables for two than all other ships we have sailed on.

Next, we headed up to our cabin to check things out. Our first impression was good. It had a nice balcony and the room looked great. There was plenty of storage space and the updated colors were pleasing to the eye. Our stateroom was a JS on deck 8 mid-ship. That in itself was the worst part of our cruise. It was under the pool deck and noisy at all hours including the overnight hours. Even with earplugs in it was a constant parade of stomp, crash, bang, boom. When the passengers settled in for the night maintenance took over the deck and banged, washed, or hammered away. If you value sleep during your cruise this cabin is not for you. Honestly, I'm not sure what one would be. If I had to do it all over again we would likely not book any cabin on deck 8.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Clean and comfortable cabin, plenty of storage space, and a nice balcony. It does not have loungers on them, just two chairs and a table. Noise was a constant issue.
