My daughter and I arrived a day early in Seattle and stayed at the downtown Sheraton. We were able to check in early and set out to explore. First stop was Pike Place Market and as others have mentioned …the fresh flowers were amazing. We would have loved to spend more time there but were on a mission to hit Elliott’s oyster hour special. It was as good as promised! We then moved on to The Crab Pot for dinner, another recommendation from family. After all that imbibing we decided to walk back to the hotel. I found the walk more challenging than any I had taken in San Francisco!

The next morning it was easy to find a nearby Starbucks and only a quick walk to Nordstrom’s. After some Seattle shopping we checked out, easily hailed a cab in front of the hotel, and headed to the Solstice. From the time we arrived at the terminal, embarkation took less than 15 minutes. How welcoming to be greeted with a glass of bubbly as soon as we stepped on the ship! And that set the tone for a wonderful and remarkable week.

Deluxe Veranda 1A

Cabin 1A

This is a wonderful cabin: close to the elevators, bed by the balcony, and a huge balcony.
