My rating is based on whether you like Cape Breton (Irish/Scottish) music or not. I do and this was one reason I took the cruise. I spent much of my time listening to live music in Port Pavilion and in the Governor’s Pub where they had free music from noon-3. The town itself is on hard times and not much to do unless you take an excursion. If you don’t care for fiddle music you could consider the rating a 3

Sydney (Nova Scotia)

What a charming town and a great place to walk around for 2-3 hours. We booked a private tour for a group of 6 with Duncan's Tours and spent 4 hours seeing other parts of the Island. Very informative

Charlottetown (Prince Edward Island)

We've been to Bar Harbor on a cruise 4 times and this was the tird time we have used Acadia Park Tours. They are a small family run company and their guides have always been great. And you still have time to walk the shore line trail on yiur own - less than a mile each way.

We hired Laila North (charming) to take 8 of us to Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay and Lunenberg. We had been to PC before and wantyed to go back. Lunenberg was new to us and I'd go back again. My suggestion is to visit PC for no more than 30 minutes for pictures - stop in Mahone Bay for QUICK lunch and spend rest of day in Lunengers. I'll point out that we have been to Halifax 3 times before so wanted something differnt this time. But if in Halifax first time - stay in tour and see the sights there.

This is rated # 1 on Trip Advisor and for a good reason. It's 2 hours, very easy walk (downhill) and very informative.

Some folks (usually parties of 4) without reservations were seated well before us.We just seemed to have gotten the ones that decided to serve others rather than us.
