My husband (62) and I (58) just returned from a seven day cruise on the MSC Divina. We are experienced cruisers having taken 10 cruises on other lines, and this was our first cruise on the Divina.
We are from Miami, and simply drove to the Port - got to try the new Miami Port Tunnel for the first time. The tunnel allows a quick entry into the port, and was a nice change. The MSC Divina is a beautiful ship, and from the first look at her you realize how magnificent she is.
We arrived at the port around noon on Saturday, and found the embarkation process quite painless. Upon entry to the check in line you are handed a card with a number (we got 14). The wait to check in was minimal, as the line kept moving. While we were at the check in window they started calling the numbers for boarding, we waited for about 5 minutes until our number was called. Upon entering ship we were directed to the 5th floor, next to the service desk where we could drop off out hand luggage while we waited for our cabin to be ready. We went up to the buffet for Lunch, and then to the Aqua Park pool to wait for our cabin. At 3:00 pm they announced the cabins were ready.
