Just back from a wonderful Celebrity Mediterranean cruise!! I must say after reading some reviews I was apprehensive, as I had never sailed Celebrity. The entire cruise was amazing!! Equinox is a great ship-- very clean--very friendly--very fun--and DELICIOUS food!! We took a tour the morning we landed in Barcelona. Bus picked us up at the airport 10:30am and drove us to the sites of Barcelona letting us off to enjoy then proceeding to the next stop. We were then dropped off at the ship around 2:30. A taxi ride alone from the airport to the ship costs $38 euros so the tour was a great value. Of course by 2:30 we just walked onto the ship no lines what so ever. We had time to have lunch and explore the ship. I must tell you we did book aqua class and loved it!! The room was perfect but the shower with 5 extra sprays was wonderful. Yes, there was fruit, bottled water and a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room. In fact everyday we had bottled water and fruit waiting in our room. Aqua class greatest perk is "Blu" ! The food and service was outstanding but dining in "Blu" is like dining at a small intimate restaurant. The all window front wall views are great, noise level is what you expect at a upscale restaurant along with soft background music. You are able to order anything from Blu's menu as well as the main dining room menu. It was like going to a specialty restaurant every night. You may also dine @ "Blu" for breakfast but we chose to go to the buffet.

I must comment on Equinox bread-and pizza---The best and most varied kinds we have ever had on any cruise ship!! We did take ship excursions and felt they were well done and in line as far as price went with other tour companies. We did Santorini (my favorite!!) Mykonos and Malta ourselves very easily--but took cruise tours Rome-Sorrento---Ephesus (and Blessed Mother's House -again my favorite!!) and Athens.

Just a few wish I knew notes:# 1 there is a duty free shop just before enter ship in Barcelona to buy your allotted bottle of wine per person #2 I know you have seen this before but truly do not over pack--sea days are bathing suits anyways #3 Sushi is @ the buffet every night 6-9pm so if you want as appetizer in your room it is perfect! #4 Majorica pearls are more reasonable in Barcelona airport than on the ship!! #5 brunch day has the biggest bowl of fresh blackberries I have ever seen--any other day the berries were previously frozen #6 at the ice cream stand you can ask for M&M's(and other such candy toppings ) on the side to have latter. You make your cruise FUN--I am convinced you can not please everyone but Celebrity gets it right 99% of the time!!! So you know no matter what you may read on this site YOU have the power to make your own memories and Your own PERFECT CRUISE!!!!--ENJOY!!!!
