We left Friday October 17 and came back October 20. This was my second cruise overall with me and my wife. My first cruise was with carnival. Do the same destination. I don't know if my expectations for princess were to high. The amenities and decor were overall better than carnival but what ruined the cruise experience was the servers and bar staff. The table service and bar staff overall we're very rude and unwelcoming. I work as a line cook in the disney company and know the level of service that resort type restaurants and bars in a resort style setting should uphold. They just seemed to not want to be there. The quality of the food was a little lacking in creativity and quality, I think this is due to the fact that they try to up sell you to their other dining rooms were u have to pay a $25 cover charge to eat at their upscale restaurants. I had purchased the unlimited bar package that was a very good value.

The best service we received was by our state room steward who was very welcoming and friendly. Other ship staff were very nice. But we felt that the wait staff did not want to be bothered by 2 people in their mid 20s. We are not sure if we will ever cruise with princess because of this reason. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. Even when we were supposed to leave port around 4 but were delayed until around 1030pm due do to bottom of the ship maintenance. We had an interior cabin on the Baja deck words the rear of the ship. The rear of the ship had A LOT of movement. Versus another party which had a forward cabin on the same level that was allot more tame. The rooms were nice. Ensenada was Ensenada lol. We got off just in enough time to get some tequila and get back on the ship to watch Sunday football on the giant screen outside which was nice. The casino staff we great and the sky walkers club at the top of the ship was an awesome vegas style club scene. If we ever decide to cruise with princess I hope the hospitality of the wait staff improves. Our next cruise we will for sure explore other cruise options
